Challenge
Bridgeside is a purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Nottingham, located next to a distinctive pedestrian bridge and adjacent to the University's Jubilee Campus.
The site required immediate visibility in a crowded student housing market, with the added challenge of establishing brand presence while the building was still under construction. The client needed a name that anchored the development to its location, a wordmark that worked at scale across site hoardings and building wraps, and a delivery partner who could move quickly across multiple stages of the project.
Approach
We were brought in at multiple points across the project: brand development, wordmark design, site survey, and installation. This staged engagement allowed the client to bring us in where most valuable, aligning spend with construction milestones without committing to unnecessary scope upfront.
We contributed to the naming process that resulted in Bridgeside, referencing the adjacent pedestrian bridge to give the scheme immediate geographic clarity. We designed the wordmark with letterforms inspired by the bridge’s steelwork, ensuring it performed at large scale across both street-level hoardings and building-height mesh banners.
Following site survey, we manufactured and installed ACM panel hoardings across seven zones, working around existing site infrastructure and health and safety requirements. We also manufactured large-scale mesh banners for the building facade to create upper-level visibility.
Result
The client reported QR code engagement from the hoardings before the installation report had even been written—evidence the work was generating immediate enquiry interest while the building was still under construction.
We established visual presence across multiple sightlines: street-level for pedestrians and upper-level for distance visibility. The staged delivery model allowed the client to bring us in as needed across different project stages, from brand development through to physical installation. The scheme is now fully let for 25/26.
